apt-listdifferences software package provides source differences notification tool, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install apt-listdifferences
apt-listdifferences is installed in your system.
Make ensure the apt-listdifferences package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep apt-listdifferences *
You will get with apt-listdifferences package name, version, architecture and description in a table
